A young woman possessing
Gleaming eyes and fiery hair
Her daughter, only two years old
A new life not meant to be fair

A mother, frightened
Of taking responsibility
So she leaves her daughter
Her life, and her whole family

Her daughter grows up traumatized
A young girl with no hopes or dreams
Such a smile rests upon her lips
But she's more bitter than she seems

Lo and behold, her mother returns
Dulled eyes and no more spirit
The aspect terrifies them both
Something new needs someone to fear it

Today, they live in shared tension
The words flow, but without care
Reminding of a young woman possessing
Gleaming eyes and fiery hair.
