Random Poem

She looked at the sky always wondering why
She never showed them the truth, she never let them in
All they knew were the cuts on her skin
To everyone she appeared happy they ignored the signs
All the words she spoke appeared as lines
She never let them know if she was okay
They thought about asking but then thought maybe another day
She was their friend, she laughed she smiled she loved she lived
And yet they never asked, the cuts and the pain in her eyes grew
She continued to smile on cue
They didn’t want know what she was doing, they didn’t want to ask
And everyday she continued to wear her mask
Every day she died a little, and everyone who loved her turned away
Her life and everything in it began to stray
She did not see a purpose she did not see a reason
All she saw was that letting anyone in would be treason
They saw they knew yet they would not let themselves believe
And soon as the days went by they eventually had to grieve
They watched her die piece by piece, taking from her everything they wanted
They did not believe that maybe she was haunted
They listened to her lies and watched her demise
And acted as if her death was a surprise...
