Random Poem

Spirit crying through your bones
and hanging in their air
who cannot escape the weeping tones
or indignant eyes that stare.
So forward, yet a lessened pace
guides you to the specter’s heart;
beneath its ribs you observe the race
has been fated since the start.
In these magnified truths you recoil
like from the whistling kettle’s steam,
cursing every damnable toil
within a spirit’s dream.
Yet though there are the shares of tears
laced with love sick songs made true,
they drown out the prospective fears
with mercy’s gracious blue.
