you see beauty in her youth
no doubt believing innocence to be the truth
but can you tell from just one glance, what her future has had planned?
you see a perfect smile
but could you imagine the tears that defile that same joy?
you see her clothes begin to grow
and make judgments as if you know
she sees her life become a mess
and believes she'll become like all the rest
she begins to wonder if she'll have a girl
someone to cherish and show the world
or maybe she'll have a boy
she sees no easy way out
life is her choice with no doubt
she closes her eyes and hears her parents scream and shout
and prays a child she is without
so young and no longer so innocent
she prays and hopes God hears her repent
the possible father to be, he is unaware
but even if he was, would he be there?
all her fears, troubles and regrets would he share?
or leave her lonely without a care?
her sanity begins to escape her
into a dream her life seems to take her
with her past she wishes she could taper
all she needs is your kindness
hold her hand don't be so mindless
she's so confused her heart and mind conflicted
her spirits could hardly be lifted
because the thought of telling her parents she can not stand
for who knows what her future has planned
