Running down the street
That goes no where
Clouds under my feet
Join if you dare
Been going for awhile
Keeps my mind wide open
Mile by mile
Don’t remember when
It hurt the heart bad
But I left it in the dust
Drove me insane and mad
Not a need but a must
Keep running forward
Looking for a way out
Where am I going toward?
God, you make me want to shout!
Can’t erase the moments
Or your amazing face
You left dents
Broken heart case
A doctor can’t fix
All the pain you made
Left me for another chick
Let me fade
So far away
You can’t reach me
Love is just that way
But I can’t get my heart free.
