Random Poem

The roses have grown thorns,
And the violets are dead,
So now you can rest:
Lay down your sweet head.

I find my nightmare dreams, are merely denied
perceptions of our morality...
And as the frost thaws, the mind freezes,
And we continue attempting to fight fatality.

For I am no longer retaining reality.
A coy eagerness cradles my dread,
And a soothing stillness steal my scream,
As I am join the cold, the lifeless, the not-yet-dead.

Read what other people have to say about this poem!

suffer_in_silence: i do really like what you've written, it's very powerful, but to me the 1st stanza doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the poem, because it's a shorter length than the other verses perhaps, still a really great poem though <3
