Streetlight leaf,
Whole in the open,
Broken underfoot,
Dust to the light,
Silhouette death,
Form and frame it took.

For haste,
Less be thee,
Who miss the hour struck,
Not a break,
Between the words,
Could there be a darker luck.

Every line a sentence,
Every letter light,
For the lost to find,
To be found in spite.

Rock read onto sky,
And sky unto rain,
Rain onto air,
And air onto rock the same,

To know of flight,
And freedom onto form,
Form onto the sea,
And the sea unto flight for storm.

For none is there rest,
Who's haste carry on,
For none is there sight,
Who first never heard of song.
