Random Poem

He has lost his door,
And that way home,
He searched every corner,
Overturned every stone,
To find but only shadows,
Life that's never seen the sun,
He has witnessed the earth,
He's found his course almost run.

No one could stand to look,
For a door past his own age,
He's studies upon every book,
Turned and torn every page,
In desperate try to find his way,
He's searched his every day,
To find this door locked under key,
Word of such effort I couldn't say.

Water to stone,
Ages wear,
Two hands alone,
He dared,
To break upon the crest of life,
Endeavor in its endless eye,
To catch a whisper of its tales,
To claim as much nor you could I.

A marveled sight,
What this man did know,
In his every word,
And movement showed,
A life unspent,
On the edge of whim,
Whose life now gone,
But light not dimmed.

pensivegentleman: i thought this was written well, sounds like a tale of a scholarly introvert. good rhyme, flow and feel. I also found the subject matter to be something i could relate to. good stuff.
